Hikaru Shimoda
Hikaru Shimoda, born in 1984 in Nagano, Japan, creates artworks that radiate a dazzling and sweet visual charm. Using bright candy-colored palettes and delicate cartoon-like brushstrokes, she depicts innocent children and fantastic scenes. However, beneath the cute exterior lies a profound sense of melancholy, crafting a unique world where cuteness and horror coexist. Deeply influenced by Japanese manga and animation, her artistic style skillfully employs vibrant colors to express contrasting emotional tensions, resulting in a visually striking and thought-provoking aesthetic.

Yuya Hashizume’s work embodies the superflat aesthetic popularized by Doraemon creator Fujiko F. Fujio, a manga icon of 1970s Asia. Blending this influence with a contemporary minimalist sensibility and a sharp instinct for color, Hashizume has developed a distinctive visual language that is both nostalgic and modern. His signature “eyewater series” focuses on the poetic simplicity of tears, capturing fleeting moments of emotion with bold, fluid lines and a singular side-profile composition.

Adam Handler
Adam Handler, a New York-based artist, is renowned for his playfully naive yet emotionally resonant style, which challenges conventional perceptions of the world through a childlike lens. His works often feature recurring characters such as playful ghosts, quirky monster girls, and UFOs, each embodying personal experiences and emotions. Through these endearing figures, Handler explores themes of love, warmth, and resilience, offering viewers a sense of comfort and encouragement to face life’s challenges with courage.
